Kolkata misti doi ( sweet curd)

Ingredients to make Kolkata misti doi ( sweet curd)

  • Full fat milk - 2 liller
  • Sour curd - 100 gm
  • Sugar - 2 cups or as per taste
  • Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
  • Cornflour - 1/2 tbsp
  • Caramel sugar syrup - 1 tbsp for colour and flavour

How to make Kolkata misti doi ( sweet curd)

  1. 1. Boil the milk and reduce to make one and half litter.
  2. Add sugar and again boil for 10 minutes
  3. Add cornflour with little cool milk and add to boiling milk. Milk became little thick.
  4. Keep aside for cool.
  5. Add curd and caramel sugar syrup in warm milk and pour in the mud pot or any other dish.
  6. Keep in warm place for set. It will take 5 to 6 hours to set.
  7. Once set keep in the fridge and serve cold.
My Tip: Set in the mud pot, the extra water in the milk will absorve by pot. Always keep pot in the warm place for set.
