Ingredients to make Stuffed Dahi parval

  • 10 no parval
  • 1cup curd
  • 1 no chopped tomato
  • 1no grated onion
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 /2 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chilly pwd
  • 1 tsp coriander pwd
  • 1/2 tsp cumin pwd
  • 1 tsp turmeric pwd
  • 1tsp garam masala pwd
  • salt
  • sugar
  • Stuffing:
  • Boiled & mashed potato - 1 cup
  • Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
  • poppy seeds paste - 1/2 cup
  • Chopped onion- 1
  • green chillies (chopped) - 2
  • salt
  • wheat flour- 1 tsp

How to make Stuffed Dahi parval

  1. Peel the medium size parval & make one slit in the middle.
  2. Scoop out the pulp using a spoon.
  3. Now mix all the stuffing ingredients and stuff each parval with little of it.
  4. Lightly fry & keep aside.
  5. Dry masala powder (except garam masala) added into curd & mix it well.
  6. Heat oil fry onion till colour changes to brown.
  7. when the tomatoes are mushy, add the curd masala & continue to cook till oil comes out,
  8. add 1 cup water & fried parval.
  9. Cook for 5 minutes & gravy should be reduced into a thick gravy.
  10. Add sugar as per taste & garam masala. Dish is ready.
