Thai Green Papaya Salad(Som Tam)

Ingredients to make Thai Green Papaya Salad(Som Tam)

  • One Green Raw Papaya
  • One tomato
  • Juice of 2 Lemons
  • Few Peanuts and Coarse powder of peanuts
  • Cane Sugar 2 Teaspoons
  • Salt for taste
  • Coriander leaves
  • Garlic cloves 3 to 4
  • One Fresh Red chilli

How to make Thai Green Papaya Salad(Som Tam)

  1. First wash the Green Papaya and peel it.
  2. Cut it into long strips in food processor or with knife
  3. Crush one red chilli and 3 to 4 garlic cloves together.
  4. Take a bowl to prepare dressing, add crushed garlic and chilli in it
  5. Then add lemon juice and 2 Teaspoons cane sugar in it.
  6. Add salt for taste
  7. Add coarse peanut powder and few peanuts in it
  8. Mix it well and add grated Papaya in it
  9. Add some coriander leaves in it
  10. Add tomato slices in it
  11. Mix the salad well with the help of two forks.
  12. Now it is ready to serve.
My Tip: In Tom Sam salad recipe dry shrimps and fish sauce is used. But I did not add it but it tasted very well without that.
