Jamaican Jerk Chicken

Ingredients to make Jamaican Jerk Chicken

  • Whole chicken (corn fed with skin) 1 No.
  • garlic paste-1tsp
  • ginger paste 2tsp
  • Jalapeno chilli paste 2tsp
  • Cayanne pepper- 2tsp
  • peanut oil -3tbsp
  • Jerk seasoning 1tbsp
  • Ketchup 3 tbsp
  • Dark soya sauce- 2tbsp
  • Brown sugar-1tspn
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • Raw banana Cut into strips 4

How to make Jamaican Jerk Chicken

  1. Wash and dab dry chicken, cut into quarter. Make marinade of all the ingredients except raw banana.
  2. Marinate quartered chicken with the marinade. Keep it in fridge for 4-6 hours. Spread the marinated chicken on roasting pan .
  3. Roast in pre-heated oven at 180 Celsius for 45 mins. Takeout of oven and rest it for 10 mins
  4. Fry thin strips of raw banana. Serve roasted chicken with fried banana strips
