ABOUT Milk powder gulab jamun made with yogurt RECIPE

Gulab jamun is all time favourite sweet dish of everyone. I use curd instead of milk for kneading the dough.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. For making balls:
  2. Milk powder 1 cup
  3. Refined flour 1/4 cup
  4. Semolina 2 tablespoons
  5. Ghee 2 tablespoons
  6. Baking soda a plnch
  7. Curd sweet1/2 cup ( According​ to use)
  8. Ghee for deep frying the balls
  9. For Sugar Syrup:
  10. 1 cup sugar
  11. 1 Cup water
  12. saffron strands
  13. Cardamom powder 1 teaspoon
  14. Lemon juice of half lemon for cleaning the syrup
  15. Almonds sliced for garnishing

Instructions

  1. First put water into a pan and add all ingredients of sugar syrup. Bring it a boil.
  2. When it starts boiling then put it on gas for 6 Minutes​. After this put off the gas and your sugar syrup is ready.
  3. Now for making balls add milk powder, refined flour, semolina and baking soda and mix well. Add ghee and mix well. Now with the help of curd make a soft dough. And knead it well to make a smooth dough
  4. After this heat ghee in a pan. And make balls from the dough and fry it on medium flame till golden brown.
  5. When these balls become golden brown then put these into sugar syrup.
  6. Leave it for 25 minutes. After this remove from the sugar syrup. Your gulab jamuns are ready. Garnish with chopped almonds.
