ABOUT Aachari onions RECIPE

White onions stuffed with masala and curd used for semi liquid gravy

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 10-15 small size onions
  2. Curd 1 cup
  3. Red chilli powder 2 tsp
  4. Haldi powder 1/2 tsp
  5. Dhania powder 2 tsp
  6. Aamchur powder 1 tsp
  7. Salt as per taste
  8. Oil 1 tsp
  9. Rai 1/2 tsp
  10. Jeera 1/2 tsp
  11. Curry pata leaves

Instructions

  1. Clean onions
  2. Make deep plus sign at top of onion
  3. Divide masala in two parts
  4. Add one part to curd and mix other one
  5. Stuff other masala in onions
  6. In deep pan add oil
  7. Add jeera, rai and curry patta leaves
  8. Add whisked curd and cook
  9. Add onions
  10. Cover the vessel and cook for 10 minutes
  11. Aachari onions are ready
