Instant Rava or Soojii Idli

Ingredients to make Instant Rava or Soojii Idli

  • 2Cups sooji or Rava
  • 1Cup curd
  • 1 Fruit salt or Eno
  • water as required
  • salt to taste
  • 2tbsp ghee

How to make Instant Rava or Soojii Idli

  1. Combine the sooji, curds, coriander, salt and 1 cup of water in a bowl, mix well and keep aside for 10-15 minutes
  2. Add fruit salt to the batter and mix well.
  3. Grease the idli moulds with the remaining 1/4 tsp ghee and pour 2 tbsp of the batter into each idli mould.
  4. Steam in a steamer for 8 to 10 minutes. Serve hot.

My Tip:

Make sure that you make the idlis as soon as you have added the fruit salt to the batter to ensure a fluffy product.
