About A No-cook Dahi Poha Recipe

When cooking for kids, it is important to choose recipes that can be cooked in a jiffy. At the same time, finished dish should be tasty and healthy. This dish is best for hot summer days. I enjoy it at any time of the day. Not only kids, it can be an any time favourite for busy moms too!

A No-cook Dahi Poha

Ingredients to make A No-cook Dahi Poha

  • 1 cup - soaked poha
  • 1/2 cup + 1 tbsp - dahi
  • 1/2 chopped - onion (optional)
  • Chopped coriander leaves
  • Seasoning - Dried mint and Bhuna jeera (both powdered)
  • Tempering - Hing mustard seeds Curry leaves
  • Kala Namak - rock salt to taste

How to make A No-cook Dahi Poha

  1. Mix poha, dahi, onion, mint, coriander, salt and bhuna jeera.
  2. Take a tadka pan and temper hing, mustard and curry leaves using a little ghee or oil.
  3. Temper the poha- dahi mixture, mix well and serve it your kids for that 4 PM snack on a hot summer day.

My Tip:

You can adjust the quantity of dahi to set the consistency of the dish. Onions could be avoided, if too earthy or spicy. You can also soak the onion in water for around 10 minutes before chopping to neutralize the flavour.
