Ingredients to make Safed Fish Korma

  • Katla / Rohu fish pieces 6
  • yogurt 150 gms
  • raisins 2 tsp
  • onion 2
  • garlic Pods 2
  • ginger paste 1/2 tsp
  • Green chilli 3_4
  • cumin Powder 1/2 tsp
  • coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala 1/4 tsp
  • ghee 1/2 tsp
  • sugar 1/4 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • salt as per your taste
  • bay leaf 1
  • kalonji seeds 1/4 tsp

How to make Safed Fish Korma

  1. Wash fish properly
  2. Drain water
  3. Make ginger, garlic and onion paste
  4. Whisk yogurt
  5. Make green chilli paste
  6. Now marinate fish with turmeric powder and salt
  7. Also add onion, garlic and ginger paste
  8. Now add raisins and green chilli paste
  9. Add whisked yogurt too
  10. Now keep aside for 15 mins
  11. Heat oil in a nonstick pan
  12. Add kalonji seeds and bay leaf
  13. Now add marinated fish pieces and salt
  14. Fry them both sides in low heat by covering it
  15. Cook for 15 mins
  16. Now add a cup of warm water
  17. Cook in medium heat for 10 mins more
  18. Add sugar, adjust other spices
  19. Add garam masala and little ghee
  20. Garnish with coriander leaves
  21. Serve with pulao or steamed rice
