White Rasgulla

Ingredients to make White Rasgulla

  • 1 Kg - whole milk
  • 1/4 cup - lemon juice
  • For sugar Syrup :
  • 4 cups - water
  • 1 3/4 cup - sugar
  • 4-5 - saffron threads
  • 2 tbsp - rose water
  • 1/4 tsp - cardamom powder

How to make White Rasgulla

  1. Boil the milk in a pan,add lemon juice and continue stir. Turn off the gas.
  2. Using a cheese cloth, strain. Drain as much whey as possible. Keep aside.
  3. Take a deep pan, add water and sugar. Cover with lid and boil it.
  4. Knead the chena for 5 mins with hands. Make a smooth dough, divide in equal parts and make into ball shape.
  5. Add this ball into the sugar syrup. Add rose water, caradmom powder and saffron into sugar syrup.
  6. Boil the balls for 10 mins on high gas, then boil for 25 mins on medium gas.
  7. Transfer to a bowl and refrigerate. After 12 hrs enjoy cool rasgullas.

My Tip:

Make sure when straining, the chenna does not become dry. Knead well.
