  9. Take the chickpeas paste into a large bowl and beat it for 2 to 3 minutes with the help of a whisk to make it a little fluffy.
  10. Now add salt, cumin powder, green chilli paste, chopped coriander, chopped onion and chopped garlic to the chickpeas paste
  11. On gasstove heat the nonstick appam pan .
  12. Put a tiny drop of oil into each cavity .
  13. Form round ball shapes out of the chickpeas mixture and drop into the appam cavities.
  14. Put the lid on and cook for 5 minutes or until turns golden brown.

  18. Slightly toast the pita bread to turn a little golden brown .
  19. Cut the pita bread into 2 semicircles to get 2 pockets for filling
  20. Add Tzatziki Sauce and place the falafels into the Pita pockets.
  21. Top it with some prepared salad and serve immediately.
  22. You can serve the Falafel as starters too without the Pita breads , just top each falafel with some Tzatziki sauce and salad ...and plate them. See the image for reference .
My Tip: When grinding the chickpeas try and use as little water as you can so that you get thick paste and not a runny batter .
