Ingredients to make Chunky mango smoothie with mango sauce

  • 2 cups chopped mangoes preferably Alphonso
  • 1/4 cup full cream milk
  • 1 tsp castor sugar or depending on sweetness of mangoes
  • 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
  • 2 cups Greek yogurt or thick yogurt
  • Crushed ice as required
  • For mango syrup:
  • 1 cup castor sugar
  • 1 cup mango puree
  • 1 cup water
  • For Serving:
  • 1/4 cup+ 2 tbsp chopped mango chunks
  • Crushed ice

How to make Chunky mango smoothie with mango sauce

  1. For mango syrup:
  2. To make the mango syrup place the sugar, mango puree and 1 cup water in small sauce pan over low heat and stir until sugar dissolves.
  3. Bring to boil and cook it till thick and reduced. It should not be too thick and must be of medium thick poring consistency.
  4. Keep aside until use.
  5. For smoothie:
  6. Place the chopped mangoes, milk, sugar, cardamom powder and yogurt in the blender and blend till smooth using some ice cubes if desired.
  7. Next take out the mixture in the jug and add 1/4 cup of mango syrup to it. You can even add mango syrup as per your own level of sweetness.
  8. Next add 1/4 cup of chopped mango chunks to it. Mix well.
  9. Serving:
  10. Take small individual glasses or jars. Add crushed ice into each jar. Now add prepared mango smoothie to it.
  11. Garnish with some mango chunks and chill it till the time of serving.
  12. You can even garnish it with some more mango syrup on top.
  13. Serve chilled as it is or with a scoop of mango ice cream.
