Lauki raita

Ingredients to make Lauki raita

  • Lauki (bottle green) grated and boiled 1 small
  • Curd 500 gms
  • Garlic 4-5 cloves (crushed and add water 2-3 tsp)
  • Mint chutney 1 tblspn
  • Coriander leaves 1 tsp
  • Dry ingredients :
  • Salt to taste
  • Black salt 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds roasted on tawa and crushed
  • Black pepper powder 1/4 tsp
  • Red chilli powder (optional)

How to make Lauki raita

  1. Boil water add grated lauki with 1/4 tsp of salt for 5-10 mints.
  2. Take a bowl add curd, garlic water (strain it well)
  3. Put all remaining ingredients one by one.
  4. Finally add boiled Lauki and garnish with roasted cumin powder, black pepper powder, red chilli powder and chopped coriander leaves.
My Tip: Grated lauki you should add for 8-10 mints in boiled water.
