About Chocolate Coconut ladoo Recipe

Traditionally made Coconut ladoo, is made with little twist adding cocoa powder making it very tempting

Chocolate Coconut ladoo

Ingredients to make Chocolate Coconut ladoo

  • 2 1/2 cups descinated coconut (fully packed cups)
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tin condensed milk(400 gm approx) i used nestle milkmaid
  • 4 cardomoms grinded with hands 3 tbsp dark cocoa powder
  • 1/4th cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar ( optional)
  • ghee to grease
  • 3/4th cup desicinated coconut to coat ladoos

How to make Chocolate Coconut ladoo

  1. Greasing tray,keep aside.In aluminum kadai,roast descinated coconut (get ready-made in market),for almost 3 minutes.Aroma will come and let all moist evaporate.Take care not to get it brown.
  2. Keep aside 3/4 cup coconut to use for rolling ladoos in it.
  3. In Same kadai,add ghee. Pour condensed milk,sugar(optional).Mix well.
  4. Add coconut powder, mix well.Add crushed cardamom powder by hand.Mix everything on sim.
  5. Now add cocoa powder. Mixing it add milk.Mix everything on sim.
  6. Till it start leaving edges of vessel.
  7. In greased tray pour semi thick mix and let it set, cooling it.
  8. Little later,take pinch of it and check coolness. Greasing hands, roll into small sized ladoos/ balls.
  9. In bed of coconut powder roll all ladoos one by one to coat evenly all-over.
  10. Can than use for consuming. Or put in freeze for at least 20 minutes.

My Tip:

With cocoa added, twist in recipe brings out unique deliciousness. To make traditional coconut ladoos , omit cocoa powder and Milk.
