Ingredients to make Broken wheat (daliya) veggie salad..

  • Broken wheat/ Daliya 1/2 cup
  • Water 2 cup
  • Chopped onion 1 medium
  • Chopped tomato 1
  • Finely chopped carrot 1 medium
  • Coriander leaves 3 tsp
  • Lemon juice 2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chilli powder to taste

How to make Broken wheat (daliya) veggie salad..

  1. Wash and pressure cook daliya in the given quantity of water for 3 whistles on a very low flame.
  2. When the air from pressure cooker escapes on its own, open the lid and let the daliya cool down for sometime.
  3. Till it cools, take all chopped veggies, lemon juice, coriander leaves, salt and chilli powder, mix it properly.
  4. Add this mixture to daliya and mix well.
  5. Adjust salt and chilli powder.
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves and enjoy cool tasty healthy salad bowl.

My Tip:

You can toss some more veggies like capsicum, cabbage, beetroot etc in a tsp of olive oil and add some more crunch to salad.
