Potato stuffed dahi mirchi

Ingredients to make Potato stuffed dahi mirchi

  • 6-7 medium sized boiled potato
  • 6-7 jalapeno mirch
  • Curd 1/2 cup
  • Garlic garlic 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida pinch
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • Oil 2 to 3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

How to make Potato stuffed dahi mirchi

  1. Mash the potatoes, slit the jalapenos only upper surface (it should be joined from upper end)
  2. Add turmeric, red chilli, salt and asafoetida into potatoes and mix with hands properly
  3. Fill this potato mixture into jalapenos and keep aside and the remaining potato mixture will be used in gravy
  4. In a pan take oil, when heat up add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and garlic
  5. Add stuffed jalapenos into it, slow the flame and cook for 2 to 3 minutes
  6. When half cooked add remaining mixture into it, mix properly and cook for another 1 minute with lid
  7. Open the lid, add curd, garam masala and mix again and cook for 1 minute with stirring.
  8. Now cook for 2 minutes with lid to cook curd properly.
  9. Potato stuffed dahi mirchi is ready to serve.
My Tip: Curd should be added at last. Remove the seeds while slitting the jalapenos
