Eggless Tutti Frutti Cake (using curd)

Ingredients to make Eggless Tutti Frutti Cake (using curd)

  • Maida / all purpose flour 2 cups
  • sugar 3/4 cup
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • baking soda 1/2 tsp
  • salt a pinch
  • curd 1 cup
  • oil 1/2 cup
  • water 1/2 cup
  • vinegar 1 tblspn
  • Tutty fruitty 2 tblspn

How to make Eggless Tutti Frutti Cake (using curd)

  1. Preheat oven (@180 degree) or kadai (place a stand or ring cover the kadai and preheat) for 10 mins. Grease the cake tin using butter and dust with maida.
  2. Seive maida with baking powder, add tutty fruitty and keep aside.
  3. Whisk curd with 1 tblspn water till smooth and baking soda keep aside for 5 mins till bubble comes.
  4. Mix together half cup oil, sugar, vinegar and half cup warm water.Mix till sugar dissolves.
  5. Add oil, sugar mixture to curd mixture mix well.
  6. Add flour mixture in 2-3 batches. And mix using cut and fold method.
  7. Pour batter in greased cake tin, tap to avoid air lumps. Bake in preheated kadai or oven for 45 mins or till toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool the cake completely. Cut and serve with tea or coffee.
