Ingredients to make DANGARMA PACHADI ( URAD DAL KI RAITA)

  • Urad dal - 1/2 cup
  • Ladies finger – 250 gms
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Green chillies – 1 no
  • Coriander leaves – 2 tsp
  • Curd - 1 cup
  • Oil for frying

How to make DANGARMA PACHADI ( URAD DAL KI RAITA)

  1. In a pan dry roast the urad dal to light brown. Let it cool, later in mixie make a powder (not very fine) out of it (a little coarse ).
  2. Cut the ladies fingers to roundels, Deep fry them in oil and keep aside .
  3. Now take 2 tblsp of urad dal powder in a vessel to this add salt, curd, water and whisk it well without any lumps. It should be of running consistency.
  4. At the time of serving give a tadka of mustard seeds, cumin seeds, green chillies and add the fried ladies finger to the curd mixture with chopped coriander leaves. Would taste better if served cold.
  5. Healthy raita given in hospital too as it is high in protein
