ABOUT Hidden Egg in a Nest RECIPE

This is a very tasty, healthy and nutritious dish that is sure to attract any kid when it adorns their tiffin or their tea table. The visual impact it creates lures kids to this dish. The quails egg and potatoes makes it a very feasible and healthy dish for them. The simplicity of the recipe and the ease with which it can be made makes it absolutely a no-fuss and kid-friendly recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Quails eggs-2
  2. Potato-1
  3. Green Chilli-1
  4. Ginger- garlic paste-1/2 tsp
  5. Garam Masala-1/2 tsp
  6. Coriander leaves chopped-2 tsp
  7. Lemon Juice-1/4 tsp
  8. Salt as needed
  9. Vermicelli for coating- 4 tablespoons
  10. Oil for frying
  11. Egg-1 for coating

Instructions

  1. Hard boil Quails egg and keep aside.
  2. Boil potato, mash it and keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add chopped green chilly, ginger- garlic paste and coriander leaves. Saute it just a bit and then add garam masala, salt and lemon juice.
  4. Immediately add mashed potato and mix well.
  5. Swich off the flame. Let it become slightly warm and then make 2 big balls out of it making sure to insert one quails egg in each ball. Once properly rolled, the quails egg should be properly inserted within the potato mixture.
  6. Beat egg in a bowl and dip each of the above prepared balls into this and roll it in vermicelli.
  7. Heat oil in a pan, fry till both sides turn golden brown. Serve hot.
