ABOUT Three layer special spicy cake RECIPE

It is a unique recipe of cake full of veggies, chutneys and is perfect for kitty party or a small get together

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 250 gms Idli-dosa batter
  2. Half cup curd
  3. 2 tbsp oil
  4. 4 tbsp water
  5. 1 tsp baking soda
  6. Salt as per taste
  7. For peas filling:
  8. 100 gm peas
  9. 2 tbsp oil
  10. Half tsp mustard seeds
  11. 1 tsp sesame seeds
  12. 2 tsp ginger chilli paste
  13. 1 lemon
  14. 2 tsp Sugar
  15. 1 tsp garam masala
  16. Coriander leaves
  17. Salt as per taste
  18. For corn filling :
  19. 200 gms corn
  20. Half cup milk
  21. 3 tbsp oil
  22. Half tsp mustard seeds
  23. 1 tsp sesame seeds
  24. Pinch of hing
  25. 1 tsp cinnamon and clove powder
  26. Haldi
  27. 1 lemon
  28. 1 tsp garam masala
  29. 1 tsp green chilli paste
  30. Tomato sauce to spread on base
  31. Salt as per taste
  32. For garnish:
  33. Thin slices of carrot, beet, kakri, tomato, capsicum - few slices for garnising

Instructions

  1. Take batter, salt and curd and leave for 1 hour
  2. At the time of making add oil-water-baking soda and yellow food colour. Steam till knife comes out clean.
  3. Make 3 trays of dhoklas in same size plates or afterwards can cut in same size.
  4. For peas filling---grind boiled peas with ginger, chilli and salt
  5. Heat oil and make a tadka by adding mustard seeds and til, slightly roast peas.
  6. Mix all spices and let it cool
  7. For corn filling-----
  8. Grind corn a little donor make a paste
  9. Add in milk and cook
  10. Take a pan heat oil and add rai, til, hing, cinnamon, clove powder and haldi. Add cooked corn in it and mix all spices let it cool
  11. Take 2 tsp curd, add water and whisk for soak dhokla
  12. Take 1 layer of dhoklas, spread curd, water mix and add peas filling, spread it evenly
  13. Then take 2nd layer put it on 1st again spread curd mix on it and add corn filling over it
  14. Take sauce and spread it over corn filling
  15. Then top it with 3rd layer
  16. Again spread curd mix and garnish with sliced vegetables
