WHEAT SALAD

Ingredients to make WHEAT SALAD

  • 1 cup raw wheat
  • Some water and salt to cook the wheat
  • 1 finely chopped cucumber
  • 1 finely chopped capsicum
  • 1 finely chopped apple
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate pearls
  • 4 tbsp grated fresh coconut
  • For dressing:
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes
  • Juice of one lime
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt to taste

How to make WHEAT SALAD

  1. Soak wheat for 6 hours
  2. After it is soaked properly, wash it
  3. Then put it in a pressure cooker along with some water
  4. Add some salt
  5. Cook until one whistle on high
  6. Then make the gas slow and cook further for 10 minutes
  7. Let it cool down completely
  8. Strain the wheat in a big strainer so that the extra water comes out
  9. When the wheat cools down completely then only use it
  10. In a mixing bowl put together olive oil, salt, oregano, chilli flakes, lime juice and sugar. Mix nicely
  11. In another big bowl put together chopped apple, cucumber, capsicum, pomegranate and wheat
  12. Pour the ready dressing on the chopped vegetables and fruits and mix well
  13. Garnish with grated coconut
