Moong dal dhokla

Ingredients to make Moong dal dhokla

  • 1 bowl moong daal dhuli (soaked for at least 3 hrs.)
  • 1 sachet eno
  • salt 1/4 spoon
  • sugar 1/4 spoon
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 spoon mustard oil
  • 1 soon mustard seeds
  • curry leaves

How to make Moong dal dhokla

  1. Grind moong dal and green chillies and make a thick paste
  2. Put 1 glass of water in a kadhai and boil.
  3. take a thali and grease it with oil.
  4. Put salt, sugar and eno in the paste made in step one and mix properly. Immidiately after mixing, spread this paste in the greased thali.
  5. Put the thali in the kadhai ad cover it with another thali and steam on high flame.
  6. After five minutes, test with a knife. If the dhokla doesn't sticks on the knife, then it is ready.
  7. Remove from flame. Put tadka of mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  8. Put the tadka(of curry leaves and mustard seeds) on dhokla and serve with green chutney.

Kajal I want to know one thing - Is there any need to add some water in the tadka to make dhokla moist ?
