Haandi Dahi Daal Gosht

Ingredients to make Haandi Dahi Daal Gosht

  • Mutton 500 gm
  • Onion 2
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 2 tsp
  • Haldi 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • Channa dal soaked 1 cup
  • Curd sour 1 cup
  • Haldi 1 tsp
  • Methi seed 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli whole 3
  • Oil 5 tbsp

How to make Haandi Dahi Daal Gosht

  1. Heat oil
  2. Add ginger garlic paste
  3. Add mutton
  4. Saute for 7--8 minutes on high heat
  5. Add onion chopped, red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt with 1 cup water
  6. Cook in pressure cooker till 3/4 cooked
  7. Saute till mutton leaves oil
  8. In another pan, add methi seeds and red chilli whole and haldi
  9. Ground daal with curd and add in oil
  10. When it starts cooking, lower the flame and add mutton
  11. Cook slowly for half an hour and sprinkle garam masala
  12. Serve with warm rice
My Tip: Make mutton a day ahead so easy to prepare next day
