Ingredients to make Hung curd stuffed aaloo tikki

  • For stuffing:
  • 1 cup hung curd
  • 1 cup mix vegetables finely chopped (capsicum, onion and tomato)
  • Salt pinch of or to taste
  • Chilli flakes 1 tsp
  • Mix herbs 1 tsp
  • FOR OUTER COVERING:
  • 8-10 medium sized potato, boiled and mashed
  • 2 tbsp cornflour
  • Bread crumbs for coating
  • 1 tbsp ginger chilli paste
  • Handful coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • Pinch of asafoetida
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

How to make Hung curd stuffed aaloo tikki

  1. Take hung curd in a bowl and add all ingredients of stuffing and mix it well and keep aside
  2. Take mashed potatoes in a bowl, add vegetables and dry spices in it and mix it well
  3. Now add cornflour, ginger chilli paste and coriander leaves in it and mix properly
  4. Take small amount of potato mixture make ball, make all in same manner
  5. Now take a ball, flatten it, stuffed with curd stuffing and seal the edges carefully
  6. Coat with bread crumbs, make all tikkis in same manner
  7. Heat a griddle, drizzle some oil and and shallow fry the tikkis from both side to crisp
  8. Serve with ketchup or chutney
My Tip: If you want, you can deep fry it and vegetables and spices can be adjusted according to taste
