ABOUT Hung curd stuffed aaloo tikki RECIPE

Regular aaloo tikki with a twist of curd stuffing.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For stuffing:
  2. 1 cup hung curd
  3. 1 cup mix vegetables finely chopped (capsicum, onion and tomato)
  4. Salt pinch of or to taste
  5. Chilli flakes 1 tsp
  6. Mix herbs 1 tsp
  7. FOR OUTER COVERING:
  8. 8-10 medium sized potato, boiled and mashed
  9. 2 tbsp cornflour
  10. Bread crumbs for coating
  11. 1 tbsp ginger chilli paste
  12. Handful coriander leaves
  13. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  14. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  15. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  16. Pinch of asafoetida
  17. Salt to taste
  18. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Take hung curd in a bowl and add all ingredients of stuffing and mix it well and keep aside
  2. Take mashed potatoes in a bowl, add vegetables and dry spices in it and mix it well
  3. Now add cornflour, ginger chilli paste and coriander leaves in it and mix properly
  4. Take small amount of potato mixture make ball, make all in same manner
  5. Now take a ball, flatten it, stuffed with curd stuffing and seal the edges carefully
  6. Coat with bread crumbs, make all tikkis in same manner
  7. Heat a griddle, drizzle some oil and and shallow fry the tikkis from both side to crisp
  8. Serve with ketchup or chutney
