Gujrati Khandvi

Ingredients to make Gujrati Khandvi

  • 1 cup besan..
  • 1 cup sour curd
  • 2 cup water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp haldi
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 pinch hing
  • 1 tsp oil for greasing
  • For stuffing:
  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • 1 tabsp chopped green coriander leaves
  • For tempering:
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds
  • 4-5 kari patta
  • 1 tsp chopped green chili

How to make Gujrati Khandvi

  1. In a pan add besan, curd, salt, haldi, hing and red chilli powder .
  2. Mix it. Add water slowly slowly and mix again.
  3. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
  4. Put the pan on gas stove on low flame . And consistently stir the khandvi batter until paste get become thick .
  5. Take a plate and its back side grease with oil.
  6. Pour khandvi paste on it and immediately spread as thin as you can.
  7. Let be cool. Now sprinkle chopped coriander leaves and grated coconut on it .
  8. Cut 2 inch bride long strips.
  9. Fold them and make role. Arrenge khandvi role in serving plate.
  10. Heat a small pan, put 2 tsp oil and add mustard seeds, karr patte, sesame seeds, chopped green chili get crackle. And pour it top of khandvi.
  11. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and grated coconut .
  12. Serv and enjoy...
My Tip: For good result befour making khandvi keep the batter to rest for minimum 10 minutes
