Palak paneer

Ingredients to make Palak paneer

  • Spinach- 500 gms
  • Cottage cheese/ paneer-150 gms
  • Ginger chilli and garlic paste- 1 tbsp
  • Onions- 2 (paste)
  • Ghee- 1 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Lemon juice- 1 tsp
  • Cream for garnishing

How to make Palak paneer

  1. Clean and chop spinach roughly.
  2. Take a vessel in which you can boil spinach. Add just 2 spoons water.
  3. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Let it cool. Then blend it with blender.
  5. Take a pan. Add ghee and as it heats up, add the ginger garlic paste. Saute for a minute.
  6. Now add onion paste and saute till raw smell goes.
  7. Add the spinach and paneer pieces .
  8. Add salt and lime juice, mix and just let it simmer for a minute. Switch off the gas and just before serving garnish with cream. Serve hot with parathas, jeera rice, naan etc.
My Tip: Do not overcook the spinach, otherwise nutrients will be lost. Wash spinach properly.
