Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. For dhokla :
  2. Sooji or rava 1/2 cup
  3. Curd 2 tbsp
  4. Salt 3/4 tsp or to taste
  5. Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
  6. Haldi 1/4 tsp
  7. Oil 1 tsp
  8. Eno or fruit salt 3/4 tsp
  9. For curd mixture:
  10. Curd 1/2 cup
  11. Mint leaves 1/2 cup
  12. Hara dhania 1/2 cup
  13. Salt 1/2 tsp or to taste
  14. Sugar 3 tsp
  15. Green chillies 4-5
  16. For tadka :
  17. Oil 3 tsp
  18. Rai 1 tsp
  19. Sesame seeds 3 tsp
  20. Red mirch powder 1/2 tsp
  21. For garnish :
  22. Hara dhania few
  23. Sev few
  24. Pomegranate seeds few
  25. Dry coconut powder

Instructions

  1. Mix sooji, curd, salt, haldi, black pepper powder with required amount of water and mix well.
  2. Rest for 15-20 min
  3. Add more water if required and make batter of dhokla
  4. Put oil over batter, put eno on it and pour 1 tsp water over it and mix well in one direction
  5. Pour batter in greased thali and steam dhokla for 15-20 min in dhokla maker
  6. Then cut into square pieces and cool at room temperature
  7. Meanwhile make a mixture of curd , hara dhania, mint leaves, green chillies, salt and sugar in mixture grinder
  8. Now take a pan, add oil, when heated add rai
  9. When rai crackles, add sesame seeds
  10. Add curd mixture and add red mirch powder
  11. Add little water if required
  12. Add dhokla and mix very gently
  13. Cook only for 1 to 2 min and switch off the burner
  14. Garnish with hara dhania, sev , pomegranate seeds and dry coconut powder. Enjoy
