Gatte ke sabzi

Ingredients to make Gatte ke sabzi

  • Besan 1 cup
  • Asafoetida a pinch
  • Curd 1 cup
  • Coriander leaves a hand full
  • Red chilli powder 2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for tempering
  • Grated ginger 2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Baking soda a pinch

How to make Gatte ke sabzi

  1. In curd add little water, salt and grated ginger. Mix nicely with spoon.
  2. Make hard dough of besan by adding salt, oil, red chilli powder, baking soda and keep aside.
  3. Make a roll of dough and cut into shape of gatte. Boil the gatte in water.
  4. When gatte is cooked it will come on top it means gatte are cooked
  5. In a kadai add oil, cumin seeds, when it crackles add all the spices and little curd.
  6. Add salt and boiled gatte and let it cook for 10-15 minutes, add remaining curd in it.
  7. Add chopped coriander leaves in it. Sabzi ready.
My Tip: Prepare tadka of oil, cumin seeds and red chilli powder. Use over sabzi if required extra spicy.
