Moongdal dahi bhalle....

Ingredients to make Moongdal dahi bhalle....

  • Moongdal dhuli soaked overnight 1 cup
  • Channa dal soaked overnight 1 tbsp
  • Fresh curd 4 cups
  • Sugar 2 tsp
  • Roasted jeera powder 1 tsp
  • Roasted red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  • Black salt 1 tsp
  • White salt as taste
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Ginger nicely grated 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp

How to make Moongdal dahi bhalle....

  1. Make the paste of moong dal and channa dal with little water
  2. Add grated ginger, salt 1 pinch.
  3. Mix and add turmeric powder, red chilli powder 1/4 tsp.
  4. Mix again.
  5. Pour 1 drop of mixture in 1/2 cup water.
  6. If it comes at upper side then it is ready to fry.
  7. Heat oil in a kadai or deep broad pan.
  8. Make small balls of dal with palm .
  9. Lightly press .
  10. And deep fry on medium heat.
  11. Cool and dip in hot, salted water to make soft .
  12. After 10 mnts remove from hot water .
  13. And squeeze them lightly .
  14. Blend the curd with sugar.
  15. If it thick then add some water.
  16. Add salt, black salt, jeera powder .
  17. Add red chilli powder.
  18. Dip the badas in curd .
  19. Pour chutney and sprinkle chat masala .
  20. Enjoy.
My Tip: Chanadal gives it smooth and awesome taste . Blend sugar with curd to make a good texture.
