Ingredients to make Sooji Halwa in Microwave (A healthier option)

  • 1/2 cup - sooji
  • 1/2 cup - powdered sugar
  • 1 cup + 1 tbsp - water
  • 4-5 - cashews finely chopped
  • 4-5 - almonds finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp + 1tsp - ghee
  • A pinch of cardamom powder
  • almonds chopped (for garnishing)

How to make Sooji Halwa in Microwave (A healthier option)

  1. Add sooji and ghee in a microwave safe bowl, mix well.
  2. Microwave it for 1 minute, then mix well. Keep it again, for 1 minute and 30 seconds then mix well.
  3. Repeat similarly till the total time is 5 mins and 30 seconds.
  4. Add sugar into sooji and mix well.
  5. Add water and mix well. Keep it in the microwave for 2 mins. Mix well. Add cardamom powder and mix well. Keep it again in microwave for 1 minute.
  6. Add some finely chopped almonds and mix well. Garnish with almond. Serve hot.

My Tip:

Time varies as per the quantity of sooji. For more colour, microwave it longer. Adjust the consistency as per liking.
