ABOUT Peanut Curry- Fast Special (Shengdanyachi usal ) RECIPE

This is Maharashtrian recipe, which is especially made for Fast/ vrat. It is flavorful, various spices are added in this curry and also loaded with sweet and sour flavors of peanuts, curd, sugar and coconut. So each spoon of this curry is a treat of flavors for our taste buds. It is nutritious and very easy to make. It can be eaten just like that or can be eaten with Bhagar (varai rice ). Do try and enjoy.

Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. Peanuts 1 cup soaked in water for 1 hour
  2. 1/2 cup beaten curd
  3. 2 green chillies
  4. Salt as per taste
  5. Fresh grated coconut 1/2 cup
  6. 2 cloves
  7. Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp
  8. Sugar 1/2 tsp
  9. Black pepper powder 2 pinches
  10. Ghee/ oil 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Put green chillis into mortar and crush well with help of pestle.
  2. Heat a kadai, add oil, when oil is hot, add cumin seeds, cloves and stir.
  3. Add crushed green chillies, salt, black pepper powder and stir well.
  4. Add peanuts. Fry well and add the water in which peanuts were soaked. Add coconut also.
  5. Cover with a lid and let it cook on a medium flame.
  6. When peanuts get cooked, add curd and sugar.
  7. Serve in a bowl.
