ABOUT Dahi ki Kadi RECIPE

A recipe made using curd which is very good and healthy for the summer.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 3/4 litre - fresh curd
  2. 1 tsp - urad daal (split black gram)
  3. 2 to 3 - whole red chilies
  4. 1 - sprig of curry leaves
  5. 1 - medium sized onion finely chopped
  6. Salt to taste
  7. 1/ 4 tsp - turmeric powder
  8. 1 tbsp - oil
  9. 1/2 - cup water

Instructions

  1. Beat the curd with 1/ 2 cup water and keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil in a Kadai, then add the urad daal (split black gram) along with onion and curry leaves.
  3. After it is slightly cooked, then add the whole red chilies and sauté for some time. Then add the turmeric powder and salt then turn off the flame.
  4. Now add in the beaten curd and mix it well.
  5. Check for salt. It's ready to be served with white rice and any spicy side dish.
