Ingredients to make Stuffed MOONG dal parathas

  • For the stuffing:
  • Soaked moong dal - 1 cup
  • red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Dry sattu - 2 tsp
  • coriander leaves (chopped) - handful
  • salt for taste
  • For the outer covering :
  • maida - 2 cup
  • salt for taste
  • Refined oil/ ghee for frying
  • water for kneading

How to make Stuffed MOONG dal parathas

  1. Strain the soaked moong Dal and pat them dry using a towel.
  2. Now make a paste without using any extra water in a mixer grinder in short pulses.
  3. Mix salt, sattu, chilli powder and coriander leaves to the moong dal paste.
  4. Knead a very soft dough using the maida, salt, little oil and water. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
  5. Now make roundels out of the dough and stuff each of them with about 1.5 tsp of the moong dal mix
  6. Reshape them again and roll them out using some dry maida.
  7. Shallow fry them in a pan with oil/ ghee.
  8. Serve with curd or chutney or pickle.
