Ingredients to make Olan

  • 2 cups white melon cut into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup lobia soaked for 8 hours and cooked in pressure cooker with 1/4 tsp salt and 1 glass water for 15 minutes
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 strand of Curry leaves
  • 1 green chilli slit
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk

How to make Olan

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves and green chilli.
  3. Add white melon and lobia.
  4. Open lid, add coconut milk. Add water if required.
  5. Cover and cook for another two minutes.
  6. Serve with Rice/ Roti/ Parota
