Olan

Ingredients to make Olan

  • 2 cups white melon cut into small pieces
  • 1/4th cup lobia soaked for 8 hours and cooked in pressure cooker with 1/4th tsp salt and 1 glass water for 15 minutes
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 strand of Curry leaves
  • 1 green chili slit
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Milk

How to make Olan

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves and green chili.
  3. Add whilte melon and laubia.
  4. Open lid, add coconut milk .Add water if required.
  5. Cover and cook for another two minutes.
  6. Serve with Rice/Roti/Parotha
