Soya Chilli Pickle

Ingredients to make Soya Chilli Pickle

  • 1. Soya bean (pulses) 150 gms
  • 2. Soya nuggets 50 gms
  • 3. Dry red chilies 10 pcs
  • 4. Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • 5. Black cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • 6. Hing 1/4 tsp
  • 7. Dry ginger 1 inch
  • 8. Ajwain 1/2 tsp
  • 9. Coriander seeds 1/2 tsp
  • 10. Lemon juice 3 tbs
  • 11. Salt to taste
  • 12. Mustard oil 100 ml

How to make Soya Chilli Pickle

  1. Soak the whole soya bean pulses over night in water, drain it and pat dry with a kitchen towel.
  2. Flash wash the soya nuggets without letting it absorb water. Add the lemon juice and mix well, wait until it completely absorbs the lemon juice. Lemon Juice is my addition.
  3. Dry roast cumin, black cumin, ajwain and coriander seeds until cumin start to crackle.
  4. Now in a wok, heat oil and add hing after that add soya beans and fry in medium heat until the beans are crispy & turn golden brown. Scoop it out with a strainer and keep it aside.
  5. In the same oil in medium heat fry soya nuggets until they are crispy and the colour changes to golden brown.
  6. Fry the red chilies as well.
  7. Strain the excessive oil from the fried soya beans and nuggets and mix them properly with the roasted masalas and add salt as per your taste.
  8. Put the whole mix in a mixer grinder and grind it to a coarse powder. Your crispy pickle is ready. Try it.... You will love it.
