Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/2 kg - French beans (finely chopped or cut lengthwise)
  2. 2 tbsp - grated fresh coconut
  3. 1 tbsp - mustard seeds
  4. 1 tbsp - urad dal
  5. 1 tbsp - chana dal
  6. A pinch of Heeng/Asafoetida
  7. Ginger chilly paste to taste
  8. 2-3 curry leaves
  9. salt to taste
  10. turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  11. Green Chilli Paste - optional

Instructions

  1. Mix salt and turmeric with the beans and steam, making sure that the green colour remains.
  2. In a heated pan, add mustard seeds. When they splutter add urad dal and chana dal.
  3. When the smell penetrates, add curry leaves & finally mix in the steamed vegetables, ginger chilly paste & fresh coconut.
