Ingredients to make Chana daal er pitha / chana daal sweet

  • 500 grams of channa dal or Bengal gram boiled and smashed nicely
  • cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
  • Maida/ all purpose flour 1/2 cup
  • For sugar syrup:
  • 1 cup sugar with 1 cup of water
  • oil for deep fry

How to make Chana daal er pitha / chana daal sweet

  1. Mix boiled and smashed​ dal/ lentils with maida and coconut.
  2. Take small ball of it and make burfi / diamond shape with it.
  3. Heat oil and fry those diamond shape one by one.
  4. Fry it till golden in medium flame.
  5. Pour each into sugar syrup and keep for sometime.
  6. Take them out once it absorbs the syrup. Serve warm.

My Tip:

Boil the lentil with minimum water so that no water remains after boiling.
