Savoury moong daal bites

Ingredients to make Savoury moong daal bites

  • Soaked (2 hours) dhuli moong daal- 1 cup
  • salt to taste
  • Suji 2 tsp
  • lemon juice 2 tsp
  • water as required
  • oil 2 tsp
  • mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Green chilli 3-4
  • curry leaves 7-8
  • White sesame seeds 1 tsp
  • baking soda 1/2 tsp

How to make Savoury moong daal bites

  1. Grind moong daal. Take it in the mixing bowl. Add suji, salt, lemon juice and 1/4 cup water. Keep for 5 minutes .
  2. Add baking soda. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Take a greased plate. Pour the mixture. Steam it for 10 minutes.
  4. For tempering take a pan. Add oil, put mustard seeds, sesame seeds, chilli and curry leaves. Cook for 1 minute.
  5. Pour this on the steamed thali and spread evenly.
  6. Let it cool down. Cut in desired shape and serve with hot hot ginger tea.

My Tip:

The batter should be semi thick.
