Cooker Marble Cake

Ingredients to make Cooker Marble Cake

  • 2 cups - all-purpose flour
  • 1 & 1/2 cups - powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup - refined oil
  • 1/2 cup - fresh curd
  • 3/4 teaspoon - baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon - baking soda
  • 2 teaspoon - vanilla essence
  • 4 teaspoon - cocoa powder

How to make Cooker Marble Cake

  1. Sieve all the dry ingredients except for cocoa powder - all purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda. Now add oil, vanilla essence and curd to the dry mixture and mix well. Add milk to make a smooth batter.
  2. Divide the batter into two equal parts. Add cocoa powder to one and leave the other part as it is.
  3. To a well greased dish, put one spoon of plain batter, then one spoon of cocoa batter over it.
  4. Repeat the process and at the end it will look like as shown in the picture.Tap the dish to release any bubbles. Now with the help of a knife or a toothpick just draw any random pattern to give it a marble like look.
  5. Keep the idli maker on gas stove. Put 2 cups salt as a base and keep any stand in it. Cover it and let is heat up for 10 minutes. Now keep the pan with batter in the preheated cooker for 20-25 minutes at medium heating mode.
  6. Insert a knife in the cake to check if it is done. If it comes out clean, it’s done else keep it for 5 more minutes. Once it’s done, let it stay in cooker for ten minutes and then let it cool properly.
  7. Take out and demould and enjoy.
My Tip: You can use wheat flour instead of all-purpose flour to make it healthy. Rest recipe will be same.
