Falafel

Ingredients to make Falafel

  • 2 cups chickpeas (soaked overnight)
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 3 green chillies
  • 1 cup coriander leaves
  • 2 tsp dried parsley (preferably fresh)
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp flour (binding)

How to make Falafel

  1. Drain all the water from chickpeas.
  2. In a food processor add all ingredients and grind coarsely.
  3. Heat oil in a kadai.
  4. Take the batter in your hand and make circles of it.
  5. Press a little with your two fingers.
  6. And fry until golden brown.
  7. Serve with hummus, pita bread and garlic white chutney.

My Tip:

You can use fresh parsley and if not available use basil instead of it.
