ABOUT Falafel RECIPE

Arabic falafel is a traditional dish of Arabies. Famous in Saudi Arabia, kKwait etc. With goodness of chickpeas.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 2 cups chickpeas (soaked overnight)
  2. 6 cloves garlic
  3. 3 green chillies
  4. 1 cup coriander leaves
  5. 2 tsp dried parsley (preferably fresh)
  6. 1/2 onion
  7. 1 tsp cumin powder
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 2 tbsp flour (binding)

Instructions

  1. Drain all the water from chickpeas.
  2. In a food processor add all ingredients and grind coarsely.
  3. Heat oil in a kadai.
  4. Take the batter in your hand and make circles of it.
  5. Press a little with your two fingers.
  6. And fry until golden brown.
  7. Serve with hummus, pita bread and garlic white chutney.
