Ingredients to make Dhokla

  • Two cup besan
  • Two tablespoons sujji
  • One tablespoon oil
  • One t.spoon sugar
  • One teaspoon salt or acc to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon haldi
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chilly powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon citric acid \ 1 tspn vinegar
  • One tspn lemon juice
  • Water 2 cup
  • Eno 2 pouch
  • For the tempering
  • One tspn vegetable oil
  • One tspn mustard seeds
  • 4 green chilly, silt
  • 2 tea spoon coriander chopped
  • Currypatta leaf
  • 2 cup water
  • 2 tspn lemon juice ,,5 tspn sugar
  • For the Garnish
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves Kari patta leaf

How to make Dhokla

  1. Combine the besan, sujji, sugar, lemon juice , oil,red chilly powder salt with 2cup of water in a deep bowl
  2. Mix well.. If batter is slightly thick add bit of water.Keep for 5-10 minutes..
  3. Then sprinkle eno salt over it ..then sprinkle some water over it..it will become frothy..
  4. mix well and immediately put in greased microwave safe bowl.. cover it and micro for 8 minutes.. let it cool and then cut into square pieces..
  5. For the tempering
  6. heat oil in a pan for 30 seconds, add mustard seeds karii patta..5-6 slitted green chillies fry..
  7. Now add one glass of water ...5 teaspoon sugar and lemon juice let it boil once..switch off gas...
  8. Then put khatta meetha tadke wala pani over it and wait for 10-15 minutes.. So that it absorbs water..
  9. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves n karipatta leaf.
My Tip: it's taste best with green chutney. It can be served with a tea/ coffee as a perfect breakfast snack.
