Ingredients to make Daal ke Farey

  • Soaked Bengal Gram Split- 250 gm
  • Rice Flour- 500 gm
  • Green Chilly- 5
  • Chopped Green Coriander-5 Tbsp
  • Garlic Clove- 10-12
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Asafoetida- 1/2 tsp
  • Red Chilli- 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander Powder-1 tsp
  • Chaat Masala- 1 tsp
  • Cumin Seed- 2 tsp
  • Chopped Ginger-2 tsp
  • Oil-5 tbsp

How to make Daal ke Farey

  1. Take a bowl add rice flour add salt and make a hard dough.
  2. keep it a Side for 15 min.
  3. Take mixer jar add soaked Chana dal,green chilli,garlic clove and cumin seeds.
  4. Grind it without water and make a dry mixture.
  5. Remove from jar, add salt ,red chilly powder,coriander powder,asafoetida,chopped ginger , chopped coriander and mix it well.
  6. Now take a dough and divide in 4-5 parts .
  7. Make balls and roll out like a big roti.
  8. Now cut it in small puri like shape with the help of glass or circular mold.
  9. Now fill the mixture in small puri and fold like gujhiya shape.
  10. Now take a large pan add 3 tbsp oil and put fare in a row approx 10 fare at a time.
  11. Now add one small glass water and cover the lid .
  12. Cook it for 5 min one side.
  13. Now open the lid and flip the fare and add little water , cover the lid and cook it for 5 min.
  14. After the 5 min open the lid and add some salt, coriander powder and chaat masala.
  15. Cook it at least 2-3 min.
  16. Now serve the hot and crispy fare with green chutney or fried chana dal chutney.
My Tip: Combination og Chana dal and garlic gives the awesome taste.
