Ingredients to make moong dal square

  • moong dal with skin 2 cup soaked
  • Salt to taste
  • astofida 1 pinch
  • Red Chili Powder 1 Tsp
  • Roasted cumin powder 1 tsp
  • dry mango powder 2 tsp
  • chopped green chili 4 no
  • Chopped ginger 1 tsp
  • cornflour 1 tbsp
  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • FOR DIP----------- hung curd 2 cup
  • Coriander leaves chopped 1 tbsp
  • green chili 2 no
  • Salt 1 pinch
  • Lemon juice 1 tsp
  • Coriander for garnishing

How to make moong dal square

  1. MAKE DIP----------- make a paste with salt,coriander ,green chili,lemon juice. whip the curd and mix the paste in the whipped curd.
  2. MAKE SQUARE-------- wash the dal and clean the skin ,blend the dal with ginger,garlic ,make a smooth paste.
  3. add salt,red chili,cumin powder,dry mango powder and astofida in dal puree mix it heat a non-stick pan cook it with string continuously.
  4. cool the mixture and add cornflour make a soft dough with the mixture, cool and make square and roll it on a plastic sheet
  5. cut the square, now heat the non-stick pan and shallow fry until golden and crisp. garnish with dip and coriander leaves.
