ABOUT Bottle gourd gravy RECIPE

Pressure cooker pan is a great blessing for working women like me and I mostly use pressure pan to cook many recipes so quickly and this is one of them. You can prepare this gravy much quicker, easier, tastier in your busy morning time.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Bottle gourd - 1 medium size
  2. Moong dhal(split) - 1/2 cup
  3. Onion + Tomato - 2
  4. Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp
  5. Sambar powder - 1 tsp
  6. Garam masala - 1 tsp
  7. Coriander leaves & Curry leaves
  8. Ground coconut - 1 tbsp
  9. Poppy seeds - 1/2 tsp
  10. Fennel seeds 1/2 tsp
  11. Garlic ginger paste - 1 tsp
  12. For seasoning: Mustard seeds - 1tsp
  13. Cumin seed - 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Chop bottle gourd into square shape. In a pressure pan add oil, season with ingredients mentioned under seasoning.
  2. Add onion, saute well, add tomatoes, bottle gourd pieces, saute well.
  3. Add red chilli powder, sambar powde, salt & mix well. Add moong dhal and enough water and pressure cook for one whistle.
  4. When steam subsides, open the cooker, add grinded paste , garam masala and allow the mix to boil, switch off the flame.

i would like to know the grinded masala includes what all as mentioned in step 4
