Pachai Pattani / Green Peas Sundal

Ingredients to make Pachai Pattani / Green Peas Sundal

  • Dried green peas 1 cup
  • Onion 1,chopped
  • Coriander leaves.
  • Urad Dal 1 tsp
  • Mustard​ seeds 1tsp
  • Oil 1 spoon
  • Garam masala 1/4 spoon
  • Chilli powder 1/4 spoon
  • Grated coconut 1 spoon
  • Dry red chilli 1
  • Curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Water

How to make Pachai Pattani / Green Peas Sundal

  1. Soak green peas in water for 4 hrs.
  2. Pressure cooker with salt and water for a whistle.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, pop out mustard seeds followed by red chilly, urad dal and curry leaves.
  4. Add cooked green peas.
  5. Add Garam masala & chilli powder to it.
  6. Lastly, add in grated coconut and stir it well.
  7. Switch it off and garnish with coriander and chopped onions.
  8. Serve hot.
My Tip: Raw grated mango can be used for garnishing. We can also use fresh peas to make this.
