Whole Moong Crepes/ Instant Moong Dosa

Ingredients to make Whole Moong Crepes/ Instant Moong Dosa

  • For Moong flour:
  • Whole green moong 1kg
  • Coriander seeds 2 tablespoon
  • Cumin seeds 2 tablespoon
  • Dried red chilly 10-15
  • Dry ginger powder 2 teaspoon
  • For dosa:
  • Moong flour 1 cup
  • Salt to taste

How to make Whole Moong Crepes/ Instant Moong Dosa

  1. Moong powder: Make a flour for dosa by dry grinding whole moong, cumin, coriander seeds, dry red chillies and dry ginger.
  2. This needs to be a fine powder which can also be done in a flour mill.
  3. This powder can be stored for 2-3 months in air tight container.
  4. Dosa: Take a cup of moong dosa powder and mix salt to taste.
  5. Add water to make a runny consistency like dosa batter.
  6. Let the batter rest for at least 10 minutes
  7. Heat Tava. Smear oil and spread the batter with a ladle.
  8. Cook properly from both sides.
  9. The dosa would get a fine net and browning on cooking
  10. Remove from pan and serve with coconut chutney or sauce of your choice.
My Tip: Make thin dosa if you want crispy one. Onion or other veggies can also be added to it.
