Agar Agar Pudding

Ingredients to make Agar Agar Pudding

  • Agar Agar/China grass - 20 gms
  • milk - 1 cup
  • almond/Badam paste - 2 tbsp
  • sugar - 3-4 tbsp
  • Rose milk essence - few drops [or any essence of your choice]
  • water - 1/4 cup

How to make Agar Agar Pudding

  1. Grind almonds to smooth paste by soaking them in warm water and peeling off the skin.
  2. Bring milk to boil and add in almond paste. Stir to combine. Allow this to boil again and add sugar. Stir until dissolves and turn off the flame.
  3. Add few drops of rose essence to above milk-almond mixture. You can use any essence of your choice. Pour in agar-agar mixture to this and stir to combine.
  4. Pour this mixture into a flat square dish and leave it to cool. When this starts to set, transfer to freezer to set completely. This tastes best when served chilled.
  5. Nearly after an hour agar-agar pudding will be ready to relish. Cut them into desired shapes (I cutted it into diamonds). Refrigerate them in air tight box. These can stay fresh up to 2-3 days under refrigeration.

My Tip:

You can also add vanilla essence and add any food colour of your liking to make it more colourful to attract kids. As you know its rich source of fibre & an easy way to make kids eat! :)
