Mushroom Shami Kebab

Ingredients to make Mushroom Shami Kebab

  • Gram dal-1/2cup
  • Mushroom -200 gm
  • Onion-2
  • Garlic-2cloves
  • Pepper corn-4
  • Cloves -2
  • Bay leaf -1
  • Mint leaves -2tbsp
  • Garam masala -1tsp
  • Chilli powder -1tsp
  • Salt
  • Turmeric powder - 1tsp
  • Oil-4tbsp

How to make Mushroom Shami Kebab

  1. Soak gram-dal for 4 hours.
  2. Cut mushrooms into small pieces.
  3. Soak them in salt turmeric water for 10 minutes.
  4. Drain the water completely.
  5. Heat a pan add the drained mushrooms. Saute in low flame for 5 minutes. Turn off heat.Drain all the excess water.keep it aside.
  6. Pressure cook gram-dal with chopped onion, garlic, pepper corn, clove, bay leaf, salt, turmeric and 1& 1/2 cup water.After 1 whistle keeps in simmer for 5 minutes. Let it be cool.
  7. Open the pressure cooker and see whether any excess water is there.If there is a little water then switch to the gas and evaporates the water.
  8. Mash the dal coarsely.
  9. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan add mushroom fry for 3 min add mashed dal& fry.Turn off heat.Let it cool.
  10. Add chopped onion, chopped mint leaves,garam masala, red chilli powder and gram flour.
  11. Make the kebab and shallow fry on low medium heat till golden brown.
  12. Serve with salad and lemon wedges.
