Yellow Moong Dal Besan Khadi

Ingredients to make Yellow Moong Dal Besan Khadi

  • Yellow moong dal powder 3 spoon
  • Butter milk 1 &1/2 glass
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric 1tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1tsp (adjust)
  • Garam masala 1/2tsp
  • Dry Red chilli 1
  • Meethi seeds 1tsp
  • Water as required
  • Chopped onion 1
  • Mustard seeds 1tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1tsp
  • oil 2tbsp
  • Masala boondi 1/2 cup (optional)
  • Hing 3/4tsp
  • Coriander powder 1/2tsp

How to make Yellow Moong Dal Besan Khadi

  1. Add buttermilk into a large bowl,add moong dal besan in it and mix it well.
  2. Add salt turmeric powder methi seeds, switch on the gas and stir the liquid till it boils.
  3. Now add water as per requirement, cook for 30 minutes approx.
  4. For tadka: take a pan heat oil add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and Hing.
  5. Add chopped onion fry till it becomes golden, add red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt.
  6. Now add boondi ( kept in warm water for 5 minutes) and tadka to khadi.Khadi is ready to serve.
  7. Serve it with steamed rice.

My Tip:

For yellow moong dal powder grind the moong dal into a fine powder.
