Peppy Paneer Gravy

Ingredients to make Peppy Paneer Gravy

  • 200 grams paneer (cottage cheese)
  • 2 big onions (thinly sliced)
  • 1 big tomato (finely chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 green chilli (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chilli flakes
  • 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  • 4 tablespoon oil
  • Salt to taste

How to make Peppy Paneer Gravy

  1. Cut paneer into 1 inch cubes and keep aside.
  2. In a pan heat oil, add cumin seeds and chillies. When cumin seeds splutter, add onion and salt. Cover and cook till onions turn soft.
  3. Add tomatoes and saute. Add the turmeric, coriander powder, garam masala and red chilli flakes.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste. Saute till the raw smell goes away. Add the paneer and a little water. Cover and cook for few minutes.
  5. Stir once. Add 1 cup water. Cover and cook for 10 minutes.
  6. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rotis or rice.

My Tip:

If you do not want a gravy and want to have a dry subzi to eat with rotis, reduce the amount of water added.
